The Pragma GU Adaptor is used to convert the GS Pulling Tool from a jar down to release pulling tool to a jar up to release pulling tool. The combined GS Pulling Tool with GU adaptor is called a GR Pulling Tool. The combination tool allows down jarring on a fish without shearing and releasing off the fish.
The Pragma GU Adaptor is connected to the fish neck of the GS Pulling Tool. The shear pin in the GS Pulling Tool is the removed. The fish neck and top thread of the GS Pulling Tool need to match the inside diameter of the fish neck on the GU adaptor and thread in the shear sub respectively.
A heavy-duty version of the GU adaptor as well as a Double Jar Down Adaptor is also available.
